The works of the second solar park in Santa Fe are progressing. It will be located in the city of San Guillermo, covering an area of 11 hectares.
It will feature 10,360 photovoltaic panels, as reported by the municipality located in the department of San Cristóbal, 245 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Santa Fe.
This is how the second solar park in Santa Fe will be
The San Guillermo Park is part of the provincial government’s decision to install four solar parks in different areas of the province (Arrufó, Firmat, San Guillermo, and San Javier), with a total capacity of 20 megawatts, equivalent to the consumption of 7,600 households.
The construction of the hydroelectric plant, which will inject 6 megawatts into the local power grid, will boost development with clean and renewable energy, and will be carried out by the company Proyección Electro Luz.
When will the project be ready
The main objective of this solar park, which is expected to be completed by mid-this year, will be to cover part of the energy demand in the area.
This will reduce the dependence on traditional sources and decrease the carbon footprint. It will become a model of energy transformation in the province of Santa Fe.
“We are building a modern San Guillermo. The town will be the one to kick off this matter in the Province of Santa Fe,” said the mayor, Romina López.
“With this solar park, we hope to promote responsible energy use, boost local employment and economy, and position ourselves at the forefront in the implementation of renewable technologies,” she emphasized.
“The focus is on a future where innovation and sustainability are fundamental pillars. By working with provincial and departmental authorities, San Guillermo is being transformed,” López concluded.
