The evolution of clean energies continues, and now Italian engineers have developed the “Sail 9”, a vertical wind sail capable of generating 20 W of power.

The “Sail 9” stands out for its compact, lightweight, and easy-to-install design. Its blades, made of recycled fabric, offer a sustainable solution to generate stable energy, adapting to the needs with a potential of 20 W.

Designed for extreme adventurers, this innovative turbine features an ultralight and adaptable structure, without the need for mounting tools. Its portable design allows it to be carried in any backpack, ensuring clean energy in the most remote places.

## Commitment to the environment and uses of the wind sail

The development team was inspired to find alternative sources that are more environmentally friendly. The “Sail 9” helps reduce waste and guarantees efficiency and sustainability in its energy generation process. These portable wind turbines can also be crucial in emergency situations, providing electricity for essential equipment and lighting.

The “Sail 9” was designed to offer sustainable and portable alternatives for various electronic devices, with the aim of reducing the use of fossil fuels. Its optimized design with recycled fabrics ensures the acquisition of clean and efficient energy.

Unlike solar panels, which are less efficient on cloudy days and nights, this wind turbine harnesses winds at any time. Its installation is simple, in four stages, reducing tool costs.

With a compact size of 51.5 x 7.5 cm, the “Sail 9” reuses discarded materials, promoting recycling. Its scalability is being explored for urban and rural environments, with more powerful versions in development for isolated communities and future emergencies.
