With a maximum speed of 32 km/h, the Lightfoot is not designed to break records, but its retro aesthetic, inspired by classics like Vespa scooters or the Volkswagen T1, according to Otherlab itself, makes it a truly unique micro-mobility vehicle.
The most interesting part? It is a perfect companion for any occasion. In fact, it is designed to function in cases where the sun becomes the only available source of energy. In this sense, the Lightfoot is capable of obtaining up to 20% of its energy directly from sunlight, making it a viable transportation option.
Beneath its two large solar panels, which also serve as the bodywork, lies a 48-volt, 1.1 kWh battery that powers two 750 W motors, offering a torque of 90 Nm. This makes it a suitable vehicle for climbing steep slopes and moving around cities with complex geography. Additionally, it offers a range of up to 60 kilometers per charge, ensuring you don’t get stranded halfway.
How does the electric scooter work on cloudy days or at night?
In the case of the electric scooter, the absence of the sun is not a problem. On cloudy days or at night, the Lightfoot can be recharged with its 600 W charger, capable of reaching 80% charge in just 90 minutes from a conventional power outlet.
