La Matanza, Buenos Aires province, will have a new animal health center, which will be located in Gregorio de Laferrere. According to information provided by the municipality, this place will offer a variety of services aimed at the well-being of pets.
In this regard, municipal authorities have stated that the construction of the first Veterinary Hospital in La Matanza, located at the intersection of Beethoven and Comodoro Py streets in Gregorio de Laferrere, is making progress. This healthcare center is shaping up to be a reference in animal care, offering a range of services focused on their health and well-being.
The Emergency area will include four consultation rooms (two for dogs and two for cats), a general reception and a spacious segmented waiting room. Additionally, the hospital will have an observation room, public restrooms, a space for the management of pathological waste, and a storage area for supplies and materials.
The outpatient clinics will also be differentiated by species, with exclusive areas for dogs and cats. The hospital will feature a general reception and a separate waiting room for each species, as well as a rest area for doctors, a cleaning storage room, pharmacy, public and staff restrooms.
A place designed to provide comprehensive care
In addition to the outpatient clinics differentiated by species, a Imaging Room for X-rays and a surgery area will be incorporated, which will include two spacious operating rooms, an observation room, a doctors’ room, restroom with changing rooms, a patient transfer area, a sterilization space, a pathological waste storage, and an anesthesia room with waiting area.
To ensure comprehensive service, the hospital will have inpatient and laboratory areas. The Municipality highlighted that this hospital represents a significant advancement in animal welfare in the District, reflecting a strong commitment to the community to provide animals with the care they deserve.
The importance of public veterinary hospitals
The Municipality of La Matanza is not the only one in the country that has taken the initiative to create these spaces dedicated to caring for the well-being of these companion animals. An example of this is the Municipality of Berazategui, which years ago became a pioneer in this matter, followed by Avellaneda and Lomas de Zamora.
In terms of the rest of the Argentine territory, Salta also has its own municipal veterinary hospital, where they provide primary care and minor to moderate complexity surgeries. Additionally, the provincial capital has different outpatient clinics throughout its territory to facilitate access to this service.
