When and How to Visit Bañado La Estrella

This impressive wetland is open 365 days a year. Locals recommend traveling between April and September to see more animals, although the climate from November to March is also ideal for outdoor activities.

The nearest town is Fortín La Soledad, 65 kilometers from Las Lomitas, and about 300 kilometers from the capital of Formosa. It is accessed by dirt road (RP32) and upon arrival, excursions can be arranged. In Fortín La Soledad, there are accommodations with available gastronomy.

Beyond its natural beauty, it is important to highlight the protection of the local wildlife. Bañado La Estrella has been declared an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA), emphasizing the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem.
