The provincial environmental authority continues to work in coordination with the municipality and keeps sending supplies, tools, and machinery to carry out a waste collection scheme.

After the storm that hit Bahía Blanca, the Ministry of Environment of the Province continues to provide machinery, tools, and supplies to carry out the recovery of areas affected by the water. From the waste collection system to the municipal cleaning management, the ministry works daily with the municipality on these issues.

“The entire province, at the request of Axel Kicillof, is working with Mayor Susbielles’ teams so that Bahía Blanca can rise again and gradually return to normalcy. From the Ministry of Environment of the Province, we have our machinery and more than 20 trucks provided by the private sector working to clean the streets and remove the huge amount of bulky waste left by this terrible storm,” stated Daniela Vilar.

All our personnel in the area are 100% dedicated to the operation. Our park ranger team is assisting with water pumps to facilitate basement drainage in buildings,” stated Minister of Environment Daniela Vilar, adding that “we have reinforced our monitoring and inspection team, which is constantly monitoring the affected companies and the functioning status of each one.”

The climate crisis is a reality and it is already among us. These extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and show us the urgency to strengthen prevention and response capabilities in each municipality,” she emphasized.
