The weekend in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) presents a notable change in the weather, characterized by the arrival of a cold air mass that reinforces the winter environment in the City of Buenos Aires and surrounding areas.
Weather Forecast for Buenos Aires on July 11
On Saturday, July 11, a predominantly cloudy sky is expected in the capital, with a low probability of isolated showers, just 10% during the day and night. A key aspect of the weather is the wind rotation towards the southwest.
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) anticipates that the maximum temperature will reach 13°C in the afternoon, while the minimum will be set at 8°C at nightfall. The humidity will remain high, around 85%, keeping the air cool and humid.
The wind will consistently blow from the southwest, at an average speed of 21 km/h. Due to the cloud cover, the UV index will remain low, at a value of UV 1.
In Greater Buenos Aires (GBA), especially in the peripheral areas to the south and west, the thermal sensation will be even colder, with temperatures one to two degrees lower than in the city center.
In the national context, the Early Warning System (SAT) monitors the province of Santa Cruz in Patagonia, where extremely low temperatures and frosts are reported. The mountainous regions of Neuquén, Río Negro, and Mendoza are also experiencing snowfalls.
In the center of the country, including Córdoba and Santa Fe, variable cloudiness prevails due to high pressures that reduce the risk of severe storms. Meanwhile, the northern part of the country experiences a gradual temperature drop as the cold air replaces the previous mild weather.
For Sunday, July 12, a more pronounced thermal drop is expected, with a minimum of 8°C and a maximum that will not exceed 12°C. Monday, July 13, will remain cold, while Tuesday, July 14, will begin a slight recovery with temperatures between 10°C and 16°C.
