Earth Hour is back: The largest environmental movement that brings together millions of people worldwide.

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the 19th edition of The Earth Hour campaign will take place, the largest environmental movement in the world, which, in more than 180 countries and territories, encourages citizens worldwide to dedicate an hour to doing something positive for the planet. The initiative coordinated globally by WWF is organized in our country by the Wildlife Foundation of Argentina uninterruptedly since 2009.

Buenos Aires at Natural Reserve

In Argentina, The Earth Hour will have two confirmed in-person events. The first will take place on March 22 at the El Corredor de San Miguel Natural Reserve, where attendees can participate in multiple activities such as planting native species, riverbank cleanups, interpretative tours to learn about the reserve’s nature with citizen science, nursery activities, and nature games for the whole family. This activity will close with a musical show by Lucy Patané.

Misiones will do plogging

On the same day in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones will hold a new edition of Plogging for the Planet, a route and waste cleanup. The route will start at 7 bocas and go to the intersection of Córdoba and San Martín avenues.

Positive impact of Plogging

Both events are open and free to the public but require prior registration at https://www.vidasilvestre.org.ar/concientizacion/campanaseiniciativas/horadelplaneta/

Wildlife Foundation invites you to care for the Planet

Martín Font, Director of Communication and Environmental Education at Wildlife Foundation of Argentina said: “Earth Hour is more than a moment; it is a movement that continues to inspire and mobilize people around the world, reminding us of our collective responsibility to create a more hopeful and resilient future for our planet“.

Together with Etermax, the creators of Trivia Crack, Wildlife launched a Trivia for Earth Hour where the fastest to correctly answer a series of questions about Argentina’s environment can win great prizes.

Also, on the Earth Hour website, there is a menu of options for anyone to join this initiative
