Concentration at the National Congress against animal abuse

Most read

Under the slogan “against animal abuse“, next April 29 at 5:00 PM, on Animal Day, animal protection organizations and academics in animal law will gather at the National Congress.

Through social media, the organizations expressed their desire to demand justice for non-human animals who are victims of abuse and cruelty.

With this perspective, they point out that the legal lack of protection for animals in Argentina is increasing. They emphasize the need to protect all animals equally, without favoring some and leaving others unprotected. They criticize the inconsistency of talking about animal welfare while endorsing wildlife trafficking, the export of live animals, breeding facilities, horse-drawn carts, abuse of capybaras, the situation of animals in aquariums, the abandonment of dogs and cats, rodeo events, hunting, and the existence of animals still kept in former zoos.
