This year in Spain, the motor vehicle parking for clean energies will be expanded. It was estimated that the registration of electric vehicles will increase by 49%.
This was foreseen by the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (Aaedive) and the National Association of Vehicle Sellers (Ganvam).
This estimation was based on the data from vehicle registrations in April, which increased by 73.9% reaching 18,314 units. The accumulated total stands at 52.4%, with a total of 63,217 units.

At this rate, both associations estimate that by the end of 2025, electric vehicle registrations will increase by around 49%, reaching approximately 200,000 units.
Regarding the types of propulsion, all types of 100% electric cars increased by 61.1% in April, totaling 8,666 units.
The assistance of the Moves Plan
The reactivation of the Moves Plan, retroactively, eliminated the uncertainty that had paralyzed orders and contributed to maintaining the positive trend in the electric mobility market that had been recorded since the beginning of the year.
This is a program of government grants to promote sustainable mobility and the use of electric vehicles. It offers subsidies for the purchase and installation of charging points, and it is valid until December 2025.
By type of vehicles
In an analysis by type of vehicles, it was specified that registrations of 100% electric tourist vehicles continue to rise, with an increase of 75.7% in April, totaling 7,003 units.
On the other hand, electric mopeds decreased by more than 31% last month, reaching 222 units. Up to April, they have decreased by 9.5%, totaling 761 registered units.
Regarding zero-emission motorcycles, they increased by almost 85% last month, with 791 units. In the first four months, they have a growth of almost 30%, totaling 1,957 units.

Electric vans fell by more than 2% in April, with 442 units sold.
Finally, plug-in hybrid vehicles recorded an increase of 87.4% last month, reaching 9,648 units. In the accumulated total, they increased by 46.4%, totaling 30,757 units up to April.
