Economic inclusion: Trasa expands financial access in Berazategui with a new Modular Unit

The company **Trasa**, specialized in financial inclusion solutions, inaugurated a **new Modular Financial Inclusion Unit (UMIF)** at Camino Real Norte 1655, corner 416, in the town of **Juan María Gutiérrez**, Berazategui district (Buenos Aires).

The initiative aims to **bring essential services closer to communities that previously had to travel long distances to access them**, promoting local development and strengthening neighborhood commerce.

In this new branch, residents can conveniently and securely:

  • Cash withdrawal through ATMs
  • Bill payments
  • Top-ups for SUBE and cell phones
  • Basic financial transactions and services
  • Correspondence services with Santander Argentina

A network with impact: more access where it’s needed most

The new unit joins a network of **10 UMIFs distributed throughout the country**, four of which have **direct social impact**, such as those located in **Spegazzini, Villa 21-24, Ramón Carrillo, and Piedrabuena**. Additionally, Trasa operates **over 20 ATMs** with an inclusive approach, many of them installed in **underbanked areas with high socio-economic vulnerability**.

A pioneering model of financial inclusion with environmental commitment

Trasa was the **first company to install an ATM in Barrio 31 in the City of Buenos Aires in 2017**, anticipating urbanization and integration processes. Since then, it has established itself as a **triple impact SME**, providing **fair, accessible, and environmentally responsible financial solutions**.

Among its recent milestones:

  • Certification as a B Corporation (2021)
  • Social Impact Seal and commitment to Human Rights (Government of CABA, 2022)
  • Green Seal for good waste management (2023)

*”The use of our ATMs in popular neighborhoods is significantly higher than in traditional areas, demonstrating a real and sustained demand for nearby services,”* stated the company.

Scope and projection

Today, **30% of Trasa’s ATMs are installed in popular neighborhoods**, benefiting about **50,000 families** —an estimated **250,000 people**— who now access financial services safely, without unnecessary travel or technological exclusions.

The incorporation of the UMIF in **Berazategui** extends that reach and reaffirms Trasa’s vision: to build a financial system that is **more equitable, decentralized, and aligned with social inclusion and sustainable development**.
