With the beginning of the winter vacation season approaching, the province of Santa Cruz has launched a new benefits program to promote domestic tourism and reactivate local consumption in key destinations in Patagonia.
The initiative —developed in partnership with Banco Santa Cruz— includes economic refunds and the option to pay in up to 12 interest-free installments, applicable to gastronomy, accommodations, and travel agencies.
A program that combines tourism promotion and commercial development
The Secretary of State for Commerce and Industry, Paulo Lunzevich, pointed out that this action is part of a sustained public-private partnership strategy, similar to the one implemented during key commercial dates. “Fortunately, more and more businesses are joining, which allows us to consolidate the use of the wallet and expand the range of services available,” he stated.
The measure aims to boost local circulation, encouraging residents to choose Santa Cruz destinations for relaxation, exploration, and consumption, taking advantage of the financial benefits.
What does the program include?
According to the provincial government, residents will have access to:
- Refunds on expenses made in gastronomy, accommodations, and travel agencies
- Financing in 12 interest-free installments for tourist packages
- Special promotions at participating businesses in the tourism and recreation sector
The program’s implementation includes a widespread commercial participation campaign. This strengthens the network of providers who will be able to offer these incentives.
Santa Cruz, an attractive option for vacationing nearby
The plan is launched in one of the most sought-after territories of winter tourism in Patagonia. Landscapes that combine glaciers, snowy plateaus, and unique cultural experiences, such as local festivals, regional gastronomy, or rural tourism.
The proposal also aims to promote the use of technological tools such as the bank’s virtual wallet, consolidating a more modern, inclusive, and accessible consumption ecosystem.
