The Ministry of Environment of the Province of Buenos Aires calls to participate in the Latin American Environmental Agenda, a space for debate and collective construction that will take place on July 31st and August 1st at the National University of Lomas de Zamora.
On the road to COP-30, which will be held in November 2025 in Belém, Brazil, the Province of Buenos Aires becomes a strategic meeting point to build a regional voice with a perspective of environmental justice, social inclusion, and sovereignty.
Organized by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Environment, the event “Latin American Environmental Agenda” will take place on July 31st and August 1st at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Lomas de Zamora.
It will be an instance that will bring together international experts, political leaders, social organizations, companies, and referents.
### Environment of the Province of Buenos Aires
The objective is to generate a space for dialogue, proposals, and articulation that allows advancing in basic consensuses and common strategies from Latin America to address the climate crisis and discuss a development model that prioritizes collective well-being and the care of common goods.
In this regard, the Minister of Environment, Daniela Vilar, stated that “from the Province, we understand that there is no climate justice without social justice. This meeting seeks to build a sovereign environmental agenda, born from the Global South and placing the quality of life of our peoples and the defense of our territories at the center.”
### Participation in the event requires prior registration and includes three modalities:
– General attendance as a participating audience
– Presentation of scientific posters
– Proposal of institutional or productive stands
With this call, the Province of Buenos Aires reaffirms its commitment to a just transition and to the construction of a Latin American environmental agenda from a situated, participatory, and transformative perspective.
