San Vicente University launches Diploma in Agroecological Production, a proposal to care for the environment.

The University of San Vicente (UNSAV) has announced the launch of the Diploma in Agroecological Production, a training program that will be conducted in person from August to December.

This initiative aims to provide a solid and practical education on key topics such as horticultural production, soil care, preparation of inputs, and farm management.

The diploma is aimed at all those interested in training in sustainable practices with a strong local commitment.

This educational project is the result of an important collaboration between several institutions: the National University of Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ), the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires through the PUENTES Program, the University of San Vicente, and the Union of Land Workers (UTT).

The course will last for one semester, with a total of 136 hours of class, and will be taught on Fridays from 1 to 6 pm. The activities will take place at the UNSAV headquarters, located at 1098 Sarmiento Avenue, corner of Presidente Illia, in San Vicente.

Enrollment in agroecological production

Registration will be open until August 8 and must be done through the UNAJ’s SIU Guaraní system, completing the form available at the following link: https://guarani.unaj.edu.ar.

Important Announcement for the Municipality of San Vicente

The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of distinguished provincial and university authorities. Accompanying Mayor Mantegazza were the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, the Minister of the Buenos Aires Government, Carlos Bianco, the Director General of Culture and Education, Alberto Sileoni, and the Provincial Director of Linkage with the Scientific and University System, Juan Brardinelli, along with other municipal and university representatives.

Thanks to this important agreement, framed within the Puentes Program, San Vicente will offer the Diploma in Agroecology through the National University of San Antonio de Areco (UNSAdA).

This initiative is designed to provide local producers with essential theoretical and practical tools, promoting a sustainable perspective and a deep local commitment in agricultural practices.

This remarkable progress is the result of a collaborative and coordinated effort between various institutions and organizations.

The Municipality of San Vicente, the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, the National University Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ), the Puentes Program, and the organization Trabajadores de la Tierra have worked together.
