The Calicanto Photovoltaic Park, developed by Aisa Group through Calicanto Solar SA, is being built in Nogolí, Belgrano department (San Luis) on 71.9 hectares.
It will have an installed capacity of 51 MWp and an estimated generation of 110.1 GWh annually, enough to supply more than 80,000 homes.
The park will connect to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) via two underground 33 kV lines and a new transformation field at the Nogolí Transformer Station.
Investment and Employment
The total budget amounts to USD 36.88 million, of which more than USD 10.48 million has already been executed. Commercial commissioning is scheduled for December 2026.
- During the peak activity phase, more than 150 jobs will be created, prioritizing local labor.
- The arrival of 44 containers with solar panels, inverters, and transformation centers marks a key logistical milestone. A total of 214 containers will be received in the coming weeks.
Business Vision
The CEO of Aisa Group, Juan José Retamero, highlighted that the investment is 100% private and is part of a long-term plan that includes mining, fishing, oil & gas, and real estate development. The goal is to generate employment, exports, and genuine growth for the country.
“The Calicanto Park is not just an energy project: it is a concrete contribution to the development of San Luis and a sign of confidence in Argentina’s potential,” Retamero stated.

Provincial Support
Governor Claudio Poggi emphasized the importance of the park within the Master Energy Plan and its role in stabilizing the provincial energy system. He also highlighted the potential of the Provincial University of Trades (UPrO) to train specialized technicians to support the energy transition.
San Luis and the Energy Transition
The province has established itself as a national leader in renewable energies:
- More than 40% of its consumption is covered with clean sources.
- Projects like the San Luis Norte Park reduce more than 190,000 tons of CO₂ annually.
- Public-private collaboration has attracted million-dollar investments and generated local employment.
- The use of clean energies improves the competitiveness of industries such as steel and mining.
- Local production strengthens energy security and sovereignty.
National Projection
The Calicanto Park is Aisa Group’s first energy link in Argentina, within a plan that aims to develop up to 1,000 MW of solar energy in the next decade, with the possibility of joining the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI).
The group also projects more than USD 2 billion in investments in mining, fishing, agribusiness, renewable energies, real estate development, and oil & gas. Recent milestones include the reactivation of the Gualcamayo mine in San Juan, the purchase of the fishing company Cabo Vírgenes in Chubut, and the conversion of the former Cinzano site in San Juan.
The Calicanto Photovoltaic Park symbolizes the commitment of San Luis and Aisa Group to energy transition and sustainable development. With private investment, local job creation, and cutting-edge technology, the project reinforces the provincial leadership in clean energies and marks a decisive step towards the decarbonization of Argentina’s energy matrix.
