Unstable and humid weather in Buenos Aires: high of 15°C and isolated showers on July 24, according to the SMN

On Friday, July 24, the City of Buenos Aires and the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) face a day characterized by unstable and humid weather. With a maximum temperature reaching 15°C, a cold day with possibilities of isolated showers is anticipated throughout the day.

Unstable weather in Buenos Aires before the weekend

According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), humidity is expected to exceed 80%, accompanied by a completely overcast sky that will contribute to the persistence of a winter-like environment.

For the City of Buenos Aires, the minimum temperature is set at 11°C, indicating a low thermal amplitude. In the afternoon, the maximum is not expected to exceed 15°C.

The Greater Buenos Aires will experience a slightly lower wind chill in the western and southern suburbs, where morning temperatures will hover around 9°C.

The wind will predominantly come from the northeast, eventually shifting to the north, with speeds between 13 and 22 km/h. Occasional gusts are expected, especially in open areas.

As for the north of the AMBA, intermittent drizzles are anticipated during midday and the afternoon, with rain probabilities ranging between 30% and 70% depending on the area. Fog and mist could affect visibility at the entrances to the capital.

In other parts of Argentina, there are no current alerts for severe storms in the Pampas region, although unstable conditions persist. The provinces of Río Negro, Chubut, and Santa Cruz are experiencing very low temperatures with frost and westerly winds.

To the north, in provinces like Salta, Jujuy, and Formosa, the weather is milder, with highs above 20°C and variable cloudiness.

The forecast for Saturday, July 25 suggests an improvement in weather conditions in the AMBA, with the cessation of rain and the arrival of drier air. Over the weekend, the sky will remain partly cloudy, with temperatures ranging between 10°C and 18°C.

The next week will begin with cold but stable weather in the City of Buenos Aires, with no significant changes in wind direction.
