Renewable energies and football: the innovative project that brings them together.

The world’s fullest football stadium is not packed with fans, but with **solar panels**. This is a peculiar [project](https://noticiasambientales.com/energia/energia-renovable-cuales-son-los-paises-que-ya-cuentan-con-ella/) that aims to revolutionize the energy sector, proposing an alternative that could transform the renewable energy industry.

Faced with the environmental impact of fossil fuels, this project represents **an alternative that will help transition towards renewable energies**, which have become an unavoidable necessity. And although these energy sources are clean, inexhaustible, and increasingly competitive, they have also posed challenges such as the relationship between their announcement.

This project was carried out thanks to a Norwegian startup called **OverEasy Solar**, which decided to transform the **national football stadium of Norway in Oslo** into a renewable energy generation plant. Covering 2,000 square meters of the roof of the **Ullevaal stadium** with vertical solar panels, the project proved to be more than just a solution.

Norwegian physicist **Tryge Mongstad** took the initiative to use the unused spaces of the stadium to install solar panels. Mongstad, along with his company, **filled the stadium with vertical and bifacial solar panels**, a location that allows them to place a greater number of [panels in smaller spaces](https://noticiasambientales.com/energia/autoconsumo-cuantos-paneles-solares-necesito-para-mi-casa/), thus leading to a higher concentration of devices, ensuring that production generates 50% more than other options.

## **The Benefits of Renewable Energies**
Thanks to their diversity, abundance, and ability to be harnessed in almost any part of the world, **renewable energies** represent **a promising option**. One of their main advantages is that they do not produce greenhouse gases or polluting emissions. Thus, the energy transition is already underway.

Among their most significant benefits is the fact that these energies **do not generate greenhouse gases or polluting emissions**, which are known to be the main causes of climate change.
