The forecast for the weather in the City of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area anticipates a winter scenario for this Thursday, July 23. During the morning, the city will experience freezing temperatures with partially clear skies, followed by an increase in cloudiness towards the night.
Winter Conditions and Forecast for Buenos Aires
Throughout the early hours of the day, the AMBA will witness minimum temperatures ranging between 7°C and 8°C in the city, with lower values in the peripheral areas. An east wind, with speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, will intensify the feeling of cold.
In the afternoon, the maximum temperature is expected to reach only 13°C. The relative humidity will remain close to 86%, which will create a colder thermal perception throughout the day, with a sky that will become mostly cloudy.
In Greater Buenos Aires, the thermal differences will be noticeable. The western and southern areas will start the day with temperatures around 5°C or 6°C, while the northern and coastal areas will see figures similar to those of the capital. No rain is expected for the metropolitan area.
Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Service has warned of extreme conditions in the mountain range, including heavy snowfalls and strong winds in provinces such as Mendoza, Neuquén, San Juan, and Catamarca. These conditions have affected the transitability due to the Zonda wind and snow accumulation.
In the center of the country, the weather is cold and stable, especially in Córdoba, Santa Fe, and Entre Ríos, although with fog in rural areas. To the south, provinces like Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego face below-zero temperatures with a chance of snow.
On Friday, a change is expected with the arrival of humidity from the Atlantic, causing scattered showers in the Federal Capital. Temperatures will range between 8°C and 14°C. For Saturday, the rotation of winds towards the west will decrease cloudiness and allow the return of the sun.
The weekend is expected to have cold mornings but mild afternoons, with temperatures gradually rising.
