The authorities warn about a scenario of high vulnerability and fire risk due to critical weather conditions affecting a large part of the national territory.
Argentina faces a day of maximum environmental tension after confirming a high risk of forest fires simultaneously affecting 16 provinces.
According to the most recent technical surveys, the current meteorological conditions have configured a scenario of extreme vulnerability, characterized by specialists as a potentially dangerous situation for local ecosystems.
The monitoring map reveals that the threat is not limited to an isolated region, but extends through the center and the coastline of the country.
Among the jurisdictions with the highest danger indicators are Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Mendoza, San Luis, and Córdoba.
Additionally, the alert remains in effect for the provinces of Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, and Corrientes, where the combination of environmental factors increases the probability of ignition.
This scenario, described by control organizations as “potentially explosive“, is due to an accumulation of critical variables.
Weather conditions increase the risk of fires
The lack of rainfall, combined with high temperatures and the presence of dry vegetation, facilitates the rapid spread of flames, making containment efforts difficult in case of active outbreaks.
In this situation, the fire management and civil protection services have urged the population to take extreme prevention measures.
It is reminded that most of these incidents are caused by human activity, so the lighting of campfires in unauthorized areas and the burning of grasslands under these adverse weather conditions are prohibited.
The logistical deployment remains on permanent guard to intervene immediately in response to any emergency reported in the areas of highest risk.
