The polar cold retreats in Buenos Aires: temperatures will rise to 16°C with north winds and a minimum of 6°C

The polar air wave that had frozen the central area of Argentina is beginning to retreat, bringing with it an increase in temperatures. According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), for this Tuesday, July 14, winds are expected to shift to the north, driving a thermal rise in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA).

Weather Forecast for Buenos Aires

In the morning, the minimum temperature will be 6°C in urban areas of CABA, while in localities like Ezeiza and Pilar, it could drop to 3°C. The sky will have partial cloudiness, with a relative humidity of 85%.

At midday, the city will experience a change in the air, with northern winds raising the maximum temperature to about 16°C. The chances of rain are practically nil, with a 0% probability.

At night, although cloudiness will increase, the environment will remain pleasantly cool, with temperatures around 13°C. Light winds from the northeast, between 10 and 22 km/h, are expected, which will help keep the ground relatively warm.

The Early Warning System (SAT) has issued alerts for other regions of the country. In Mendoza, a Zonda wind is anticipated with gusts that could exceed 70 km/h, mainly affecting areas of the foothills.

Meanwhile, the northeastern region of Argentina, including provinces like Formosa, Chaco, and Misiones, will begin to experience relief from the intense cold, thanks to a high-pressure system in the Atlantic that will bring warmer air.

For Wednesday, July 15, mostly cloudy skies are forecast with northern winds, which will raise the maximum temperature to 17°C and the minimum to 12°C.

Thursday, July 16 is shaping up to be the warmest day of the week, with highs reaching 21°C due to the persistence of northern winds.

However, Friday, July 17 could bring instability with rain and storms that would mark the beginning of a new drop in temperatures for the weekend.
