The Spanish company La Paloma Cerámicas has developed an innovative ecological brick that guarantees a reduction of up to 32% in CO2 emissions, offers efficient energy consumption, and ensures maximum performance in construction.
Ecological Brick Characteristics
This brick, one of the first in its category internationally, features a smart design that reduces CO2 emissions per square meter by up to 31.8% compared to other construction materials for facades. Additionally, it decreases emissions by 26% in face brick systems.
Benefits and Production
Manufactured with 100% recycled material, the ecological brick is produced in La Paloma Cerámicas’ most advanced facilities, with emissions comparable to the most efficient plants in Europe. It does not emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs), contributing to high indoor air quality.
Models and Sustainability
Developed in three models (Doñana, Monfragüe, and Garajonay) with different shades, this ecological brick recalls its natural origin. The company also promotes innovation and investment in R&D, generating zero waste and using renewable energy in its manufacturing processes.
Community Impact
La Paloma Cerámicas produces locally in rural areas, using its own quarries that, when depleted, are transformed into natural reserves or agricultural areas. This contributes to sustainability and creates stable employment, revitalizing rural areas in Spain.
Efficiency and Insulation
The smart format of the brick (100 mm wide x 236 mm long x 119 mm high) allows for a reduction in the quantity of bricks and mortar per square meter, improving energy efficiency and acting as a thermal and acoustic insulator.
