La Pilar Nature Reserve launches its Educational Guided Tours program for 2025, aimed at teachers and students of all levels. The initiative seeks to promote environmental education and ecological awareness through outdoor learning experiences.

This green space like the Pilar Nature Reserve has launched its 2025 Educational Guided Tours program, aimed at institutions of Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, and University levels. This proposal aligns with the objectives of the National Environmental Education Law, which promotes knowledge and environmental awareness from an early age, focusing on addressing environmental issues through education.

During the visits, participants will be able to explore the different ecosystems of the reserve, learn about native flora and fauna, and reflect on the importance of conserving the natural environment. According to the reserve’s director, Graciela Capodoglio, the initiative aims to integrate environmental education into all subjects and educational levels.

“It is essential for people to understand what the real issues are and how we can protect our flora and fauna to preserve human quality of life,” she said.

The idea behind these visits is to learn from nature to build solutions, so the activities begin with a presentation on the history of the reserve, followed by a tour of its forests and wetlands, where students can observe up close the richness of the local ecosystem.

Attractions of the Pilar Nature Reserve

One of the main attractions is the opportunity to observe a great diversity of birds, as the reserve is home to 255 registered species, out of the thousand that inhabit Argentina. “Depending on the time of year, visitors can see at least about 15 species on each visit,” explained Capodoglio.

In addition to promoting respect for nature, the educational proposal emphasizes solutions. “The key is not only to recycle, but to educate to reduce the use of disposable plastics and promote more sustainable habits,” highlighted the director.

Call to Action in the Face of Environmental Challenges

The visit also invites reflection on the current situation of the reserve’s bodies of water, which are going through a critical moment. “The river has one meter less water than normal, exacerbating the impact of industrial waste and affecting biodiversity. Plants, which depend on humidity, are suffering the consequences,” warned Capodoglio, emphasizing the need to take urgent measures to protect the ecosystem.

Schools interested in participating can contact 11-5730-2504 to arrange their visit. Teachers are invited to share this experience with colleagues so that more students can experience this enriching activity.

The 2025 Guided Tours program of the Pilar Nature Reserve is much more than an excursion; it is an opportunity to raise awareness, learn from nature, and become agents of change for the care of the planet.
