  1. With the aim of continuing to strengthen its bond with the community, Mastellone Hnos. donated 60 disused computer equipment to the Equidad Foundation. The NGO will recycle them, put them into operation, and deliver them to schools, hospitals, dining rooms, and charitable organizations located in different parts of our country.

Mastellone delivers computers and printers year after year, as well as other disused items such as furniture, desks, and chairs, among others, as part of its historic Donation Program. Its support is part of its commitment to the community and future generations, and also responds to its new parameters of not turning into waste what can be a resource for others.

In this sense, “At Mastellone, we believe that it is key to contribute to the development of society by providing what each part can. Of course, due to the role of the company, we have initiatives related to the delivery of dairy products, but upon realizing that there was more to do and what we could contribute in that sense, we decided to evaluate new alternatives such as the delivery of computer equipment. We believe that partnerships with different institutions like the Equidad Foundation help us to be able to help more and better,” says Mariano Elli, Community Relations Manager.

On the other hand, the Equidad Foundation has been promoting equal opportunities and environmental care for over 20 years, with the aim of reducing the digital gap in Argentina and promoting the circular economy. The NGO works with people from vulnerable social sectors, promoting their social, educational, and work integration through the use of new technologies and digital training.

“In all these years, we have recovered more than 33,000 computer equipment which have been donated to more than 5,000 institutions throughout the country, representing more than 1,700 tons of electronic waste received,” explains Mónica Orellana, Executive Director of the Equidad Foundation.

Among the organization’s main programs, three stand out. The “Recycling Workshop” – in which Mastellone Hnos. participates through this initiative, aims to achieve a double objective: reduce the digital divide and, at the same time, mitigate the environmental impact of electronic waste. Secondly, Equidad created a Training School through which computer courses are provided to expand access to digital tools, in order to promote social and work insertion of young people, adults, and seniors. And finally, the creation of “Educational-Technological Projects”, which are comprehensive ideas for equipment provision, training of the school community, and pedagogical support, with the aim of contributing to the incorporation of new technologies into the educational proposals of Argentine teachers and school directors.

On the occasion of its 95th anniversary, Mastellone Hnos., a leading national company in the production and commercialization of dairy products, reaffirms its commitment to contribute to the education and development of children and young people.
