Current food production systems are based on unsustainable exploitation of natural resources, deteriorating our health and that of the planet. It is crucial to modify our consumption habits and the way we choose food to find a balance between our diet and its environmental impact.
With the start of the school year, Wildlife Foundation Argentina launches new educational materials designed for all levels. The goal is to promote responsible consumption habits and encourage healthy and sustainable eating.
Through didactic activities for different educational levels, these materials aim to raise awareness about food production and food choices. The importance of reducing waste and avoiding plastic packaging, and the need to adopt more sustainable practices in our daily lives to achieve a balanced diet and a healthy planet.
Educational Tools and Environmental Awareness
“Environmental education not only raises awareness about the challenges we face, but also provides tools for action. These new materials allow teachers and students to better understand the relationship between food, health, and the environment, promoting positive changes in our society and caring for our health and the planet,” said Martín Font, Director of Communication and Environmental Education at Wildlife Foundation Argentina.
The launch of these materials coincides with the start of the school year, offering the educational community new resources to address responsible consumption and mindful eating. From interactive games for early childhood to reflective activities for high school. The materials are designed to facilitate meaningful learning and promote active and informed citizenship.
Wildlife Foundation and Its Commitment to Sustainability
With over four decades of conservation work and environmental education, Wildlife Foundation Argentina continues to advocate for education as a key tool to generate a cultural shift towards truly sustainable development.
The new materials add to more than 150 resources available on the website for free download, reaffirming their commitment to promoting sustainable practices and caring for the environment.
These free resources are aimed at teachers and environmental advocates nationwide and are available at educacion.vidasilvestre.org.ar.
