YPF Luz continues to drive its Social Investment Plan through initiatives that promote education, environmental care, and the strengthening of community infrastructure in the eight provinces where it operates.
In the first half of the year, 23% of the company’s employees participated in more than 30 initiatives, equivalent to 120 people who dedicated over 500 hours to actions with social impact. These actions directly benefited more than 8,000 people, reaffirming the company’s commitment to generating value in communities.
The activities included:
- Infrastructure improvement days, which involve conditioning, painting, and improving common spaces in institutions.
- Environmental care initiatives, such as setting up gardens for educational institutions and planting native trees in ecological reserves.
- Educational proposals, including talks and visits to YPF Luz assets such as: Los Teros Wind Farm, Tucumán Generation Complex, Manantiales Behr Complex, and Dock Sud Power Plant. These spaces promote the daily operations of the sites and the role of YPF Luz in the electricity market.
- Additionally, Ecopoints donations were made to the communities of General Levalle (Córdoba), Lavalle and Las Heras (Mendoza), Las Heras, Azul (Province of Buenos Aires), and Iglesia (San Juan), contributing to strengthening waste management and promoting recycling practices at the local level. This adds an indirect impact on more than 370,000 inhabitants of the mentioned localities.
In line with this approach, YPF Luz also continues working with Fundación YPF through the Mobile Classroom of Argentine Energy, an educational proposal that brings content related to energy and innovation to different parts of the country. With workshops and outreach spaces, the mobile classroom is aimed at students and the general public to strengthen the link between the community and the energy sector.
The initiative has already been present in Mendoza, where it reached approximately 1,200 participants through the Mobile Classroom and the workshops held in Las Heras and Lavalle.
In the coming months, it will continue its journey through:
- Córdoba: General Levalle (August 11 and 12).
- Buenos Aires: Olavarría (September 8 and 9).
- San Juan: Barreal (September 22 and 23) and Rodeo (September 24 and 25).
