The company Buplasa S.A., through its brand Buply, was recognized with the INTI–ECOPLAS certification for manufacturing everyday products composed entirely of post-consumer recycled plastic.
This is the highest environmental distinction of its kind in Argentina, issued by the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) in partnership with Ecoplas, an organization specialized in plastics and recycling.
Circular economy with audit and traceability
The certification ensures, through technical audits, that Buply’s products —such as dispensers, containers, and drainers— are composed of 100% recycled material, articulating recovery, conditioning, and transformation stations without generating additional emissions through transportation.
“This seal validates years of investment in real solutions for the entire industry and amplifies our positive environmental impact,” stated Laura Busnelli, CEO of Buplasa S.A.
Additionally, the seal evaluates:
- Corporate environmental commitment
- Transparency in the value chain
- Internal management aligned with sustainable standards
Sector data and future challenges with recycled plastic
According to Ecoplas and CAIRPLAS figures, plastic recycling has grown by more than 450% in the last 20 years, but only about 27% of the total production is currently recovered. Therefore, mechanisms like this certification aim to:
- Foster trust among consumers
- Accelerate the adoption of circular practices
- Promote traceability and production verification
More than products: a circular ecosystem
Buply is certified as a B Corporation, and it is defined as an ecosystem that articulates the plastic value chain. From its stations located in different parts of the country:
- They recover post-consumer plastic
- Transform it into raw material in their own plants
- Use pre-existing logistics chains to avoid CO₂ emissions
These practices not only guarantee national standards, but also position Buply among the select group of Argentine brands that produce with verified traceability and total recycling.
“The INTI–ECOPLAS seal is not just a logo, it is a clear signal of where responsible consumption should be heading,” concluded the company.
