## **The benefits of free veterinary hospitals**

Free veterinary hospitals play **a fundamental role in access to animal health**, especially **for families and communities with fewer resources**. They guarantee basic care, preventive treatments, and emergency services for pets and domestic animals that would otherwise not receive veterinary assistance.

In addition to medical care, **these hospitals contribute to health control and animal welfare in urban and rural environments**. Mass vaccination, spaying, and deworming campaigns prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases, protecting both animals and public health.

Free veterinary hospitals are also **key in promoting responsible pet ownership**. They provide education, advice, and follow-up to animal guardians, promoting proper care practices and preventing abandonment or mistreatment situations.

Finally, they serve as **reference centers for the adoption, rehabilitation, and rescue of stray animals**. Their work not only impacts animal quality of life but also strengthens social awareness of the protection and respect for all forms of life.
