Four poachers with greyhounds were detained after being caught in a private field with hares in Rauch.

In the Buenos Aires party of Rauch, Rural Police officers detained four poachers in full activity. They were carrying greyhounds and were acting within a private field near Provincial Route 30.

The operation took place in the area of Channel XII, where the agents detected the men moving in a green Ford Falcon.

Upon identification, it was confirmed that all four, all of legal age, resided in the party of Merlo, Buenos Aires province.

During the intervention, the Police found that the individuals had captured two European hares. Additionally, they were traveling with four greyhounds, which they used for illegal activities, as reported by the local outlet 0223.

They were then taken to the local police station, where the corresponding procedures were initiated for violation of Hunting Law No. 10081 of the Rural Code, which establishes the hunting ban at this time of year.

Illegal hunting on private property

During the procedure, it was also confirmed that the men were hunting on private property, without authorization or hunting license, which worsens the offense.

Once it was verified that they had no other criminal records or legal impediments, they were released but notified of the ongoing case.
