The Bioferia comes to Rosario: the great green business festival that drives sustainable change in the industry

In a context where the climate crisis permeates all industries, Rosario, Santa Fe, is getting ready to host for the first time Bioferia, the largest sustainability festival in Latin America, which will take place on October 24 and 25 at the Ex Rural venue.

The fair aims to connect innovation, green businesses, and environmental awareness. From technological projects to local ventures, the event aims to establish itself as a space where sustainability ceases to be a trend and becomes a daily practice.

Bioferia offers an immersive experience for the public and exhibitors. Visitors will be able to explore stands, participate in talks, and discover products designed under the principle of triple impact: economic, social, and environmental. Each participating company must demonstrate a specific action of positive impact.

With over a hundred spaces already reserved, the event is shaping up to be a key opportunity to position Rosario on the regional map of green innovation. Organizers expect to fill the 200 available spots in the coming days.

A festival with ecological roots

Bioferia was born in Buenos Aires over six years ago with the idea of showing that sustainable businesses can be profitable and transformative. Since its first edition, the festival expanded rapidly, bringing together thousands of visitors, brands, and environmental leaders.

Its growth was so remarkable that, after consolidating in the Argentine capital, it decided to expand to other regions. Rosario will be the first city inland to host its own edition, marking a new step in the decentralization of events related to the circular economy.

Behind this expansion is the alliance between the event’s founding team and Bodegas Araujo, a family company that represents a sustainable transition model. Its director, Carlos “Charly” Araujo, participated in previous editions and was the one who promoted the event’s arrival to the Argentine littoral.

Their winery, certified as a B Corporation, eliminated agrochemicals, incorporated organic practices, and adopted processes with low environmental impact. Araujo’s experience reflects the spirit that Bioferia seeks to convey: that the shift towards sustainability is possible if integrated into the core of the business.

Companies with a purpose

More than 100 companies and organizations have confirmed their participation. Among them is DH-SH, from Capitán Bermúdez, leading the Recycle Your Oil campaign. Since 2017, they have been managing fryer waste in homes and gastronomic establishments, transforming used oil into second-generation biofuel.

Another protagonist will be Campo Limpio, a civil association that brings together more than 100 firms from the agricultural sector and coordinates the collection and recycling of phytosanitary containers. Since 2019, they have recovered over 20 million kilos of material, which is reused as input for optical fiber and road signage.

Also participating is Sustaina, a young venture working to reduce environmental impact in massive events. They offer comprehensive solutions including waste management, use of clean energy, and measurement of carbon footprint. At Bioferia, they will have a space dedicated to sustainable electronic music, where they will apply their circular model in real-time.

These initiatives represent the diversity of the Argentine green ecosystem, where large companies coexist with community projects seeking to transform daily habits.

A movement that multiplies

Bioferia is not just an event, but a transformation movement. It promotes a comprehensive vision where sustainability permeates all sectors: from the food industry to fashion, energy, and transportation.

The Rosario edition promises to consolidate this vision, demonstrating that systemic changes begin with local actions. There, each recycled product, each ecological stand, and each talk will serve to inspire a cleaner and more balanced future.

In times when the planet demands new forms of production and consumption, Bioferia emerges as a showcase of hope: an invitation to rethink economic development without losing sight of the nature that sustains it.
