In Buenos Aires City, the winter weather is present this Monday, July 13. The day is characterized by low temperatures and a predominantly cloudy sky. The National Meteorological Service (SMN) anticipates a slight improvement in the maximum temperature in the afternoon, although the early hours of the day will be especially cold.
Weather forecast: cold in Buenos Aires with cloudy skies
For today, the forecast indicates a sky that will vary from mostly cloudy to completely overcast by night. The minimum temperature was recorded at 6°C at dawn, and it is expected to reach a maximum of 13°C in the afternoon, maintaining a typically winter environment.
Despite the clouds, weather conditions are not expected to affect traffic or public transportation in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) as the chances of rain are low, with only a 10% probability.
The north wind will maintain a moderate speed of 18 km/h, which will help prevent a further drop in temperatures. The average humidity is at 80%, creating a somewhat dense atmosphere, especially in the suburbs of Greater Buenos Aires.
Nationally, instability is greater towards the south and the Cuyo region. The SMN’s Early Warning System (SAT) has issued a yellow alert for heavy snowfalls and rains in areas of Río Negro, Neuquén, Chubut, and Santa Cruz, where snow accumulation is expected.
In other regions like the Litoral and Northern Argentina, a high-pressure system ensures good weather conditions with variable skies, although mornings will continue to be cold with possible isolated frosts.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, July 14, temperatures in the AMBA are expected to rise slightly, reaching a maximum of 15°C, while Wednesday, July 15 will see a fluctuation between 13°C and 17°C. For Thursday, July 16, the mercury could reach 22°C, offering a respite before the return of more unstable conditions towards the weekend.
