A joint effort in the prevention of dengue between the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) has yielded very positive results in the fight against mosquitoes.
With the arrival of summer, one of the biggest challenges is how to deal with mosquitoes, especially those that transmit dengue. Therefore, the UBA will distribute free repellent of its own production this Thursday, November 14, and Saturday, November 16, in Plaza Houssay.
During these days, an awareness and prevention campaign against dengue will take place, in which repellents produced by the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy and Biochemistry will be distributed (with prior reservation via WhatsApp).
This event is part of UBA’s strategy to alert the population about the necessary care against dengue and promote the use of repellent, especially in areas with high mosquito exposure. In addition, the activities will include initiatives aimed at strengthening preventive health in general.
In addition, professors and students from various careers and technical programs at the university will carry out six charitable events until this Saturday, aimed at residents of vulnerable neighborhoods in the City of Buenos Aires, as part of the UBA en Acción program.

After university members carried out two days of dental care and blood analysis, the charitable events will continue from Wednesday to Saturday:
