Mastellone Hnos. celebrates a new edition of the World Milk Day on June 1st, a date promoted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the aim of highlighting the nutritional value of this essential food and recognizing the contribution of the dairy sector globally.
On this occasion, La Serenísima focuses on protein, a nutrient naturally present in milk that is gaining increasing interest not only among athletes but also among consumers of different age groups, due to its impact on overall well-being and quality of life.
“Milk not only contributes to improving people’s muscle composition due to its content of high-quality proteins, but it is also an excellent alternative for post-exercise rehydration due to its balanced nutritional composition,” Diego Sívori, Lic. in Nutrition (M.N. 4870 – UBA).
In the same vein, the company’s Nutrition Information Department highlights that the protein contribution of milk should not be analyzed in isolation, but together with the rest of the nutrients that are part of its composition, such as calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A, D, and B complex, fats, and lactose.
This combination forms what is known as the “dairy matrix,” a concept that refers to the natural and synergistic interaction between the different components of the food, enhancing its bioavailability and its beneficial effects on the organism, especially in mineral absorption, bone health, and muscle mass maintenance.
In this way, and in line with its commitment to the community, the company continues to promote reliable information with scientific support on food and nutrition, reaffirming the value of milk as a food present in different stages of life, from childhood to adulthood.
Every June 1st, Mastellone Hnos. celebrates World Milk Day, an initiative established by the FAO in 2001 with the aim of recognizing the importance of this food worldwide. As part of the actions promoted on this date, the company supports the community by delivering 250,000 glasses of milk to vulnerable sectors, through organizations such as Red Argentina de Bancos de Alimentos, Pata Pila, and Fundación Haciendo Camino. Additionally, it will collaborate with hospitals in the communities where it operates.
Finally, activities for the whole family will be held at Plaza El Zorzal in the Abasto Shopping, such as nutrition workshops, games, and sports-related proposals.
Mastellone Hnos. thus reaffirms its commitment to the growth and development of Argentine society, working day by day to bring innovative and highest quality foods to homes, which meet people’s nutritional needs and contribute to strengthening the entire national production chain.
