The Municipality of Santa Fe, led by Mayor Juan Pablo Poletti, has summoned private companies through Private Price Contest No. 343/2024 for the recovery of the “forgotten” beach Los Alisos in the El Pozo neighborhood.
Details of the Works at Los Alisos
The tasks in the Los Alisos area include:
- Weeding and leveling of the area.
- Pruning and removal of tree species and thorny shrubs.
- Removal of the green cover over the sand area, using tractors and rakes until achieving a weed and debris-free sand surface.
- Reconditioning of the beach area adjacent to the water entry, ensuring that the finish is only sand.
Materials and Deadlines for the Recovery of Santa Fe’s “Forgotten” Beach
The bidding company will be responsible for all necessary supplies and machinery.
The works will be carried out for 15 consecutive days from the award, with daily inspections by the Executive Directorate of the Territorial Delegations Program to ensure the correct provision of services.
History of Los Alisos Beach
The Los Alisos beach had its heyday in 2006 and 2007, but it was abandoned due to irregular settlements. Despite neighbors’ complaints, the beach has not been properly maintained in recent years. During the 2020 pandemic, the beach became a solarium, losing its status as a resort.
Next Steps
The Municipality has determined that for the 2024-2025 beach season, only Playa Este will be enabled as a resort. The swimming pools will be the ones at Parque del Sur and Parque Juan de Garay, while the solariums will be Espigón I and II, Playa Grande, and Playa Sur.
COOPERSIVE, a cooperative in the region, is also finalizing an electric ring project to minimize power outages. However, they face challenges due to their energy supplier’s limited capacity and the need for a comprehensive 132 KVA line project with a substation.
