Iguazú National Park improves accessibility with new additions

Most read

In line with the objectives of sustainable tourism by 2030, the Iguazú National Park has incorporated two caddies and 20 baby strollers in order to improve accessibility for visitors.

This initiative reinforces the commitment to inclusive and conscious management, allowing more people to enjoy the park comfortably.

Caddies for people with reduced mobility

The caddies are electric utility vehicles, similar to golf carts, that can be used by anyone who has mobility difficulties or a disability. These are operated by trained staff who assist visitors in their transfers around the different stations and circuits of the park.

It is important to note that the caddies do not enter the walkways, but the park provides wheelchairs provided by Iguazú Argentina for those who need additional assistance.

Baby strollers for added comfort

Families can now rent baby strollers, which are identified and equipped with motion sensors for added safety. These strollers have:

  • Lightweight structure and optimal maneuverability.
  • Ideal design for uneven terrain and confined spaces.
  • Compact folding and 5-point safety harness.

Commitment to inclusion and sustainable tourism

The development of accessible tourism ensures that all people have the same opportunities to enjoy the Iguazú National Park. By 2025, one of the goals of Iguazú Argentina is to continue improving its accessibility services, prioritizing an efficient use of resources and developments that generate a positive impact on the visitor experience.

These investments add to existing adaptations, such as:

  • Accessible walkways for wheelchairs and strollers.
  • Adapted cars on the Ecological Jungle Train.

The importance of responsible tourism

Sustainable tourism is a collective effort, in which each visitor plays a key role in respecting and promoting these actions.

Promoting a culture of conservation and accessibility is essential so that, in the future, enjoying nature is a full and inclusive experience for everyone.
