Two people were **caught illegally hunting** within the **Islas de Santa Fe National Park**. This is a **protected area** where this activity is **strictly prohibited**.
The operation was carried out by **park rangers** and members of the **Guardia Rural Los Pumas**. They detected the presence of a **moored boat** on one of the islands, which is also not allowed.
Deployment of the operatives to intercept the hunters
The intervention began in the **afternoon**, when the park rangers spotted the boat.
Suspecting that **poaching** was taking place, a **surveillance operation** was organized until nightfall, when the individuals **left the island**.
With the support of the Rural Guard, the offenders were **intercepted** and the following items were **confiscated** from them:
- **Two firearms**.
- **Ammunition**.
- **One bladed weapon**.
- **Two dead wild boars**.
The hunters were issued an **infraction report** and will have to pay a **fine** for their actions.

Constant monitoring to prevent illegal hunting
From the **only national park in the province**, it was emphasized that **hunting is prohibited** in its **4,096 hectares**, consisting of **eight islands**.
To ensure the **preservation of wildlife**, **permanent controls and patrols** are implemented, with the support of:
- **Drones and trap cameras**.
- **Rotation of park rangers**.
- **Day and night supervision**.
Additionally, **awareness campaigns** are carried out to **discourage illegal hunting**, promoting respect for the park’s biodiversity.
