However, there are specific restrictions and rules for each species.
In this case, the detainees were hunting outside the authorized period, which only includes “Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and/or provincial holidays”.
The detainees in this operation face charges for violating the provincial legislation on wildlife conservation and animal protection. Additionally, items used in the illegal practice, such as a van and an air rifle, were seized.
The rescued dogs were taken to animal rehabilitation centers, where they will receive veterinary care and be evaluated for possible adoption.
Hunting with packs of dogs, a practice filled with cruelty
Hunting with packs of dogs involves the use of trained dogs to chase and capture wild animals, such as hares. This activity not only endangers local wildlife but also subjects dogs to extreme conditions of mistreatment and abandonment.

In Córdoba, hare hunting is only allowed on certain days and with specific restrictions, according to Resolution 170/25 of the Ministry of Environment and Circular Economy.
This practice represents a significant threat to biodiversity and animal welfare. Organizations like Vidanimal Foundation have denounced this practice as cruel and backward, urging authorities to intensify efforts to eradicate it.
Likewise, the importance of citizen collaboration in reporting these illegal activities is highlighted.
