Since this week, Hurlingham, Buenos Aires Province, already has a new **[Municipal Veterinary Clinic](https://noticiasambientales.com/animales/ituzaingo-comenzo-a-funcionar-la-clinica-veterinaria-gratis/)**. It will provide free care for dogs and cats.
The building is located at **Veragua 4590**, in the town of **Villa Tesei** and offers various services for the pets of the neighbors.
## How is the new veterinary clinic in Hurlingham
The space has **three consulting rooms**, two operating rooms, pre and post-surgical rooms, an observation area, and the capacity to assist up to a thousand pets monthly.
There will also be workshops and **talks on responsible pet ownership**, coexistence, and prevention, as part of a local animal welfare policy.
“This means more **health for our pets** and savings for our neighbors,” said Mayor **Damián Selci** during the opening. “With a preventive, territorial, and community approach, this clinic is a step forward. It is something we did not have and now we do,” he added.
## How it works
It is open from **Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3 pm**. Appointments can now be requested through the [official Municipality website](https://forms.hurlingham.gob.ar/clinica-veterinaria).
The clinic is complemented by the **works carried out in the Zoonosis building**. In addition, the Municipality announced that in the coming weeks, the itinerant operations of **vaccination and neutering in the neighborhoods** will begin.

“Meeting commitments is the obsession of our management,” Selci emphasized, highlighting that these measures aim to support families in a complex economic context.
According to information from the municipality, the new clinic has the capacity to assist up to **1000 cases per month**.
## The free veterinary clinic that operates in Ituzaingó
In several municipalities of the Buenos Aires Province, this type of clinics with free care are already operating.
The case of Ituzaingó is one of them. It is located at **República del Salvador 2885, corner of Pringles** and was the **first free comprehensive care center for pets** in the district.
It was inaugurated in **2023** and operates from Monday to Friday, between **8 am and 3 pm**. It has three fully equipped consulting rooms, a laboratory, two operating rooms, and a room for treating human bites.
It is strategically located as part of the San Alberto Health Pole, integrated by the Primary Health Care Center, the Municipal Center for Early Stimulation and Comprehensive Rehabilitation (**CEMETRI**), and the CEDIM, the first Municipal Imaging and Laboratory Diagnosis Center.
