The first Veterinary Hospital in La Matanza is getting closer to becoming a reality with 70% progress

At the intersection of Beethoven and Comodoro Py, in the town of Gregorio de Laferrere, the construction of the first Veterinary Hospital of La Matanza continues. The project has already reached 70% completion and marks a milestone for the district.

The new space was conceived as an integral center for animal care, attention, and welfare. In this way, it seeks to respond to a historical demand related to public and environmental health.

Additionally, the project is part of an ecological perspective that views animals as part of the urban fabric. Therefore, the infrastructure aims for sustained and responsible care.

Modern infrastructure and permanent care

The hospital will have an active veterinary emergency room 24 hours a day. This coverage will allow immediate intervention in critical situations, reducing health risks.

It will also have external consultation rooms for general care and separate waiting rooms. This organization improves patient flow and reduces animal stress.

In addition, hospitalization areas will be incorporated for safe recovery, along with an observation room for postoperative and clinical follow-up.

Diagnosis, surgery, and responsible care

The building will include its own laboratory for quick studies and diagnoses. It will also have an imaging room equipped with X-ray technology for accurate evaluations.

Moreover, the surgical sector will have two modern operating rooms and an anesthesia room prepared for safe procedures. This will allow for more complex interventions.

On the other hand, the sterilization area will be key to promoting responsible ownership. Free castration thus becomes a tool for ethical population control.

Services designed from an environmental health perspective

Among the main services are the emergency room with four consultation rooms, hospitalization and observation areas, pharmacy, and surgery sector. The entire circuit was designed with comprehensive health criteria.

A pathological waste management and supplies system will also be incorporated. This measure reduces the environmental impact and prevents contamination of soil and water.

Thus, the hospital not only cares for animals but also strengthens community health from a preventive and ecological perspective.

An initiative with social and environmental impact

The creation of the Veterinary Hospital of La Matanza improves equitable access to free and quality animal care. This prevents delayed treatments and reduces abandonment.

At the same time, the prevention of zoonotic diseases protects the human population. Vaccination, control, and early diagnosis reduce health risks in neighborhoods.

Finally, the project promotes a culture of respect for animals. By integrating infrastructure, professionals, and environmental management, the district moves towards a fairer, more supportive, and conscious coexistence.
