Development of renewable energies: CASA Wind Farm progresses in Olavarría with the arrival of wind turbines.

The components of the **wind turbines of the CASA Wind Farm** have begun to arrive at the Cementos Avellanada premises in **Olavarría**, following the [established planning](https://noticiasambientales.com/energia/avanza-la-construccion-del-parque-eolico-casa-de-ypf-luz-en-olavarria/).

The transport is carried out by **specialized trucks**, escorted by **private security**, and at **reduced speed**, ensuring a **safe and coordinated** process.

It is expected that the **arrival of the equipment** will be completed by the end of **June**, after which the **assembly phase** will begin.

## A wind farm adapted to industrial needs

This project sets a **precedent in renewable energies**, as it is the **first on-site wind farm** that **YPF Luz** builds near an **industrial customer**.

The initiative includes **two key functionalities**:
– **Energy self-sufficiency**: 4 out of the 9 wind turbines (with 28 MW of installed capacity) will provide energy to Cementos Avellanada.
– **Commercialization of renewable energy**: The other 5 wind turbines (with 35 MW of installed capacity) will generate electricity for the Renewable Energies Market.

## Characteristics of the wind turbines

– **Total quantity**: 9 units.
– **Technology**: **Nordex Delta 4000**.
– **Height**: Approximately **200 meters**, equivalent to **three Obelisks**.
– **Blades**: 27 in total, each **79.7 meters** long.
– **Sweep area of blades**: **163 meters in diameter**.
– **Maximum power per wind turbine**: **7 MW**, surpassing the capacity of the wind turbines of the **General Levalle Wind Farm**, also owned by YPF Luz.

## CASA Wind Farm: impact and key figures

– Generation capacity: 63 MW of renewable energy.
– Equivalent energy: More than 72,000 Argentine homes supplied.
– Total extension: 450 hectares.
– Capacity factor: 47.2%.
– Annual production: 260,487 MWh.
– Investment: Over USD 80 million.
– Job creation: 200 people at peak construction.

## Commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency

The project is developed under strict logistical controls, with circulation permits granted by **National and Provincial Roads**.

Furthermore, the construction of this wind farm **reinforces the commitment to clean sources**, aligned with the [global energy transition](https://noticiasambientales.com/energia/hidrogeno-geologico-la-energia-limpia-en-la-corteza-terrestre-que-podria-ser-clave-para-la-transicion-energetica/).

This progress confirms that **renewable energy** is consolidating as an **efficient, sustainable, and adaptable** alternative to the industrial demands of the country.
