San Vicente expands LED lighting to 100% in new neighborhoods and strengthens its urban energy efficiency plan

The Municipality of San Vicente is advancing with the modernization of public lighting and adds three new neighborhoods with full coverage of LED lighting technology. In this way, it reinforces its energy efficiency strategy and improvement of urban space.

In this stage, Villa Amelia, El Roll, and 17 de Octubre achieved 100% replacement of luminaires. Thus, all their streets have low-consumption systems that replace the traditional fixtures.

The measure is part of a comprehensive plan that seeks to ensure better-lit streets and safer environments. Additionally, it consolidates a public policy aimed at reducing the environmental impact of municipal electricity consumption.

Visits and supervision in the territory

During a visit to the 17 de Octubre neighborhood, Mayor Nicolás Mantegazza supervised the installation of the last LED luminaires. In this context, he spoke with residents and addressed concerns related to urban infrastructure.

The replacement included 450 fixtures in the neighborhoods El Roll, 17 de Octubre, and Villa Amelia. With these tasks, the district completed the process of lighting transformation in those areas.

At the same time, the authorities highlighted that the program is progressively extending to each sector of the district. Therefore, the modernization not only improves nighttime visibility but also optimizes energy resources.

Total coverage in Alejandro Korn and the city of San Vicente

In the locality of Alejandro Korn, the neighborhoods Versalles, Los Naranjos, El Rosedal, Santa Ana, and Matadero already have 100% LED lighting. Now Villa Amelia, El Roll, and 17 de Octubre are added, expanding the efficient network.

Meanwhile, in the city of San Vicente, the transformation reached the neighborhoods Santa Rosa, Eva Perón, Pueblo de la Paz, 8 de Octubre, Cementerio, Quinta de Perón, Santa Inés, Pueblo Originario, the Center, and La Laguna.

Consequently, the district consolidates a modern and sustainable lighting matrix. This expansion strengthens road and pedestrian safety, while reducing global electricity consumption.

What are the benefits of LED lights?

The incorporation of LED luminaires implies a significant reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional systems. Therefore, indirect emissions associated with electricity generation are reduced.

Moreover, these technologies have a longer lifespan and require less maintenance. This translates into lower operating costs and less waste derived from the frequent replacement of equipment.

Finally, the better light quality improves the perception of safety and promotes responsible use of public space. Thus, the efficient lighting policy not only beautifies the city but also contributes to a more sustainable environmental management and a better quality of life for the community.
