During a vehicle control operation in Lanín National Park, a van carrying wood without documentation was detected.

It happened on Provincial Route No. 48, in the southern area of the protected area. Park rangers and officers from San Martín de los Andes Police Station No. 23 seized **seven cypress logs**.

Among those captured, it was detailed that there were six **former officials of the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Nariño** (Corponariño), including high-ranking executives such as a deputy director, who allegedly granted **fraudulent permits** for the mobilization of wood.
