Sustainable construction: A SME from Neuquén debuts as an exporter of energy-efficient panels

A SME from Neuquén, TAO Constructive Solutions, recently completed its first export. Another piece of good news is that they manufacture energy-efficient panels: here’s how they are.

The provincial Planning minister, Rubén Etcheverry, and the Industry Undersecretary, Hipólito Salvatori, highlighted the success of the company these days, as it achieved its first export to the Canary Islands, Spain.

With this achievement, the company becomes a pioneer by sending wooden construction systems from Argentina to Europe.

Energy-saving constructive solutions

The company’s president, Guillermo Badano, explained that the panels they manufacture are highly insulating and allow for construction up to 70% faster than traditional systems. Additionally, they generate a similar energy saving in electricity and gas, making them an efficient and ecological option.

Badano expressed gratitude for the support from the PyME-ADENEU Center, an entity that helped strengthen and project the SME towards international markets. This public-private collaboration is essential to boost the local industry and open up new business opportunities.

The company was a finalist in the national Export Challenge program, where it will compete with other companies as “Expanding SME”.

The Neuquén company exporting sustainable construction material

TAO, specialized in industrialized constructive panels (SIP System), was also recognized as the best growing venture in the province. Additionally, it will participate in the National Final of the Federal Entrepreneurship Contest Argentine 2025 in Buenos Aires.

During the visit, Minister Etcheverry highlighted that TAO’s export demonstrates the province’s capacity to diversify its economy.

Etcheverry stated that the technology and innovation of SMEs like TAO are crucial for sustainable development. Subsecretary Salvatori emphasized the importance of a “made in Neuquén” product being exported, especially in a context of manufacturing crisis.

TAO present at Expo Edifica Neuquén

TAO Constructive Solutions will participate in the second edition of Expo Edifica Neuquén, the most relevant event in the sector in Patagonia.

The company will offer live demonstrations of its construction system and create a coworking space for professionals. This will be a meeting point for architects, engineers, and developers, where they can firsthand experience the advantages of the SIP system and form new alliances.

What is sustainable construction

Sustainable construction is defined as that which is carried out from a comprehensive approach seeking to reduce the negative impact of buildings on the environment and human health throughout its life cycle.

It includes everything from material selection to structure demolition, passing through construction, use, and building maintenance.

Its main objective is to create constructions that are efficient in the use of resources (energy, water, materials) and that generate the least possible impact on the planet.
