In a new controversy involving the President of the United States, Donald Trump targeted Greta Thunberg, the young Swedish environmental activist. And she did not remain silent.
This Monday, the president described Thunberg as a “troublemaker” and said that “she is no longer interested in the environment“.
Trump’s criticism came after the young activist participated in the humanitarian flotilla that was stopped by the Israeli Navy while sailing towards the Gaza Strip.
After the exchange, however, she responded in a sarcastic manner, exposing the U.S. president.

Donald Trump against Greta Thunberg: what he said about her
“She’s just a troublemaker, you know? She’s no longer interested in the environment“, criticized Donald Trump.
He added: “Now she’s into this. She’s a troublemaker. She has trouble controlling her anger. I think she should see a doctor“.
The president expressed himself this way when asked about the flotilla that was taking the young woman and other activists to Gaza during a press conference at the White House.
“She’s young and so angry, so crazy. She’s just a troublemaker“, added Trump.
The ironic response of Greta Thunberg
After Trump’s criticism, Thunberg was ironic about it and asked the U.S. president for advice on how to control her supposed anger.
“I would gladly accept any recommendations you might have on how to deal with these so-called anger management issues, as judging by your impressive track record, it seems you also suffer from them”, wrote Thunberg on her Instagram social media account.
Thunberg also thanked Trump for his “very flattering” words about her character and his concern for her mental state.

Why Greta Thunberg was deported from Israel
Thunberg arrived this Monday at the Athens airport, Greece, after being deported from Israel along with a group of 135 members of the Global Sumud Flotilla.
The crew was detained while sailing towards the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid.
Upon her arrival in Greek territory, Thunberg denounced to the press that “Israel is trying to eliminate an entire population“.
She said this in reference to the Gazans and Palestinians, who are currently in a deep crisis as victims of the conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas.
This is why the activist briefly shifted from environmental claims: the young woman seeks to bring humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
“I could talk for a long time about the mistreatment and abuses we suffered during our imprisonment, but that is not the story”, she noted.
