This year, 54 new local companies obtained the B Corporation Certification and 68 recertified, positioning the country as the ninth in the world and the second in e,pre with the most certified organizations.
Argentina closes 2025 with 54 new Certified B Corporations, a growth that raises the total to 280 companies that are part of the national B Community. With this progress, Argentina positions itself as the ninth country in the world and the second in Latin America with the highest number of certified organizations.
The local B Corporations employ over 44,000 people, generate annual revenues of US$ 5.175 billion, cover 30 economic sectors and originate from 15 provinces. The areas with the most B Corporations are the City of Buenos Aires (110), Province of Buenos Aires (91), Córdoba (19), and Mendoza (17).
This was the second year with the highest number of certifications since the creation of Sistema B in 2012 (only surpassed by 2022, when 57 companies certified). Among the new additions are organizations like La Anónima (the largest B Corporation of Argentine capital), McCain Argentina, The Food Market, Urbano Express, COELSA, Green Armor, Bagués, Meraki, Alamesa, and Calm, among others.
Additionally, 68 companies reaffirmed their commitment and obtained recertification this year, which consolidates a retention rate of 94% in the B Movement. “This shows that certification is a valuable tool. In fact, being part of a community with shared values is one of the aspects most valued by B Corporation leaders”, said Marina Arias, Executive Director of Sistema B Argentina.
In this regard, Sistema B Argentina generated 30 networking events, more than 500 business connections among certified companies, and managed over 70 economic benefits among organizations in 2025.
The B Community includes companies of all types: from solo projects and regional SMEs to multinational corporations, both in products and services. “That diversity allows many to collaborate among themselves to scale their impact, growing real value businesses, providing solutions to the main challenges we face as humanity”, added the leader of the organization in the country.
The strengthening of the impact ecosystem is also reflected in the growing interest of organizations in measuring and managing their social and environmental performance. This year, 580 Argentine companies began to observe their impact with the B Impact Assessment. There are 9,000 using this tool in the country and 320,000 globally. It is free, online, and confidential and is available on the Sistema B website.
“Many use the B Impact Assessment with the goal of achieving certification, but there are also many who take advantage of it as a management tool. It is unique in its ability to analyze an organization comprehensively, adapting to its industry, size, and market”, noted Marina Arias. “We celebrate that each year hundreds of companies begin to review their governance, transparency, and socio-environmental impact. This shows us that it is not a trend, but a strategic vision that more and more leaders are incorporating.”
In 2025, Sistema B also advanced in collaboration with other sectoral actors, with 20 alliances aimed at promoting triple impact on the business agenda. Among them, the B Acceleration Program, carried out with the Economic Development Agency of Río Negro, thanks to which 25 SMEs in the province began to measure their social and environmental performance and started their path towards certification; and the joint work with the Secretariat of SMEs of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, which reached 300 entrepreneurs with training and content on impact businesses.
The B Movement in the world
Globally, the year was marked by a historic milestone: B Lab, the organization that grants the B Corporation Certification worldwide, presented the new standards that will come into effect in 2026. These requirements establish comprehensive impact management as an exclusive condition for achieving certification, with minimum parameters in seven different Impact Topics.
This is the most significant evolution of the model since its inception 20 years ago, and it responds to the growth and maturation of the B Movement. In 2025, the threshold of 10,000 B Corporations worldwide was surpassed, and it is necessary for the B Corporation Certification to continue positioning itself as a guide for the private sector in an increasingly challenging context. The year ended with 10,409 B Corporations in 103 countries, belonging to 163 industries and generating 1,048,380 jobs.
“We have been growing steadily for over 10 years, despite changing global contexts. It is clear that it is not a niche, nor a passing trend, but a real productive fabric”, concluded Arias. “More and more leaders are betting on sustainable business models because they are convinced that it is the only possible path and because they understand it as a strategic and future decision. From Sistema B, we will continue to accompany them on this path.”
