Tucumán: Teachers participate in a course on Environmental Education in Waste Management

About 420 **teachers** from early childhood, primary, secondary, and higher education levels in **Tucumán** are participating in the course **”Environmental Education in Waste Management”**, a free initiative promoted by the Municipality of San Miguel de Tucumán, with the endorsement of the provincial Ministry of Education through resolution 0576/5.

## A training program with impact
The course, which is part of the **Educá Environmental Education** program, aims to train teachers and students in **good environmental practices**. According to **Julieta Migliavacca**, Secretary of **Environment and Sustainable Development**, this course marks a milestone as it is the first time the municipality is registered as an operator of offering institutions to provide training with **teacher points**.

“We have high expectations that it will be the first of many courses, so that teachers can be allies in environmental management programs,” highlighted Migliavacca.

## Training modality and content
The training takes place on **four consecutive Saturdays**, from **8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.**, at the **Rosita Ávila Theater**, and includes:
– **Theoretical classes** on environmental management.
– **Educational visits** to the **Municipal Orchard** and the **Composting Center** (Lamadrid 3700).
– Tour of the waste disposal plant in **Overo Pozo**.
