Two illegal veterinary clinics closed in Cordoba for irregular sale of products: what to do when detecting cases

The Ministry of Bioagroindustry of the Province closed two illegal veterinary clinics in Córdoba preventively. In both locations, they detected the irregular sale of veterinary products.

The measure was carried out by the General Directorate of Supervision and Control of the Ministry, as part of a series of inspections of forage shops and businesses in the capital city.

The operation aimed to verify compliance with Provincial Law No. 5142 and its modification No. 6429, which regulate the authorization and operation of these establishments.

Two veterinary clinics closed: the irregularities detected

During the procedures, as reported by the authorities, they identified serious infractions in both inspected locations:

  • They did not have official authorization or registration in the provincial system.

  • They lacked a responsible veterinarian, a mandatory figure for the sale of products intended for animal health.

These irregularities led to the preventive closure, as they represent a health risk for animals and people.

The Ministry reminded the population that veterinary products should only be purchased in authorized places, where there is supervision by a registered professional.

Irregular sales not only endanger animal health by allowing the uncontrolled use of drugs but also pose a danger to public health. Some of these products may have direct or indirect effects on people.
