Ecological reserves are ideal places to enjoy the day surrounded by nature in its purest state, appreciating unique and incredible landscapes. These getaways are the perfect option to make the most of short periods of recreation, as they allow you to engage in different outdoor activities.
A clear example of this is the Vicente López Municipal Ecological Reserve, a space located on the shores of the Río de La Plata. Within its three-hectare area, it preserves five natural environments along the riverbank, such as reed beds and riverside scrubland, wetlands, grasslands, and marginal forest.
This place hosts a great biodiversity with over 14 species of reptiles, 7 mammals, 12 amphibians, 34 fish, and 258 birds, not to mention the invertebrates that inhabit the area, along with 9 species of mollusks and even more than 80 species of butterflies.
Furthermore, the reserve is home to about 248 species of native plants, including around 29 trees, 106 herbaceous plants, 48 shrubs, 22 vines, 37 marshland and aquatic plants, and 6 ferns and epiphytes. Therefore, it becomes an ideal option for spending the day strolling along its trails surrounded by a special natural landscape.
