Although many confuse it with Patagonian landscapes, the Parque Provincial Ernesto Tornquist is located in the southwest of the Buenos Aires province and has become one of the most sought-after getaways during the winter holidays.

Residents of the Tornquist district, retirees, pensioners, Malvinas veterans, people with disabilities, and children under six enter for free.
Ecological and heritage value
The park is key to the conservation of the mountain grassland ecosystem and protects vital water basins for the region. Among its main contributions:
Biodiversity and endemism: it hosts unique species such as the Copper Iguana and the Silver Plantain.
Bird refuge: declared an Important Bird Conservation Area (AICA), it protects more than 200 species.

How to get there
The park is located on Provincial Route 76, within the Tornquist district, about 570 km from the City of Buenos Aires.
- By car: the journey takes between 6 and 7 hours, via national routes 3 and 33, or Route 5 until connecting with the roads to Sierra de la Ventana.
- By bus: you can travel to the area’s terminal and complete the journey by local transport or taxi.
