The transformation of the seaside promenade in Pinamar, including the demolition of the service unit of the cement beach resort Cabo Blanco, represents the final step in a process that has taken almost eight years.

This project aims to balance services for people with environmental care, transforming old fiscal units into public spaces and more sustainable constructions.

Project Details

The process has involved the demolition of 45 cement beach resorts, which were rebuilt in a sustainable manner with smaller structures, using environmentally friendly materials.

Cabo Blanco beach resort, the last cement resort left in Pinamar

To date, more than 110,000 square meters have been reclaimed to turn them into public beach areas, in addition to the space of the former Cabo Blanco.

Management and Objectives

The project was mostly carried out during the tenure of Mayor Martín Yeza and continues under the supervision of his successor, Juan Ibarguren. The goal is to create an infrastructure design that provides services without compromising environmental balance.

Regulations and Future

According to current regulations, Pinamar no longer auctions fiscal units for beach resorts, and new constructions cannot exceed 350 square meters.

The demolition of Cabo Blanco, which covered almost 2000 m², will be completed before the second half of December, freeing up that space for public use.
