Jujuy inaugurates the Mangrullo Trail, a new tourist attraction
The Las Lancitas Provincial Nature Reserve, located in Palma Sola, 139 kilometers from San Salvador de Jujuy, added a new tourist route: the Mangrullo Trail. This space aims to boost tourism in the region, integrating nature, sustainability, and regional development.
Established in 2002, the reserve is located in a transitional area between the dry Chaco and the Yungas of Jujuy, characterized by its climatic and topographic diversity. With a subtropical climate and a dry season, the average annual temperature is 16°C and the average rainfall reaches 790 mm, mainly concentrated between November and March. This green paradise offers a landscape of contrasts influenced by the orientation of its mountains and valleys, as well as by the prevailing wind currents.
For this reason, the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Federico Posadas, emphasized that the new trail represents a unique environmental product, combining nature tourism with sustainability. “This place harbors perhaps the greatest diversity of birds in Argentina,” Posadas stated, highlighting the importance of Las Lancitas for tourism in the Yungas, which increasingly attracts more national and international visitors.
